Pastor Jeffrey Charles Jasper Sr., D.Div.
Dr. Jeffrey Charles Jasper Sr., affectionately known as Pastor J, is a passionate
leader dedicated to advancing God’s Kingdom through teaching, outreach, and
service.
Born on May 13, 1984, in Meridian, MS, he is the youngest son of Charles and
Ora Jasper. His journey of faith began in 2006 when he moved to Hattiesburg,
MS, and joined Magee Temple Church of God in Christ. In July 2008, he
accepted Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, igniting his lifelong
commitment to ministry.
He answered the call to ministry in 2008 and was ordained in 2011 under Bishop
A.V. Jordan. In 2021, he and his wife, Precious, launched JJ Ministries, a Bible
study and outreach initiative focused on #KingdomMinded living. Following
God’s vision, he founded Harvest Outreach Church in 2022, a thriving ministry
in Hattiesburg, MS, where he continues to impact lives with the Gospel.
Pastor J holds a Doctorate of Divinity and serves as a Network Administrator
& Chaplain at Merit Health Wesley, where he made history in 2023 as the first
to baptize a patient in the hospital. His leadership extends beyond the church,
serving as an adjutant to the Jurisdictional Bishop of the Mississippi
Southern Second Jurisdiction and as a dedicated youth football coach in
the Oak Grove community, mentoring and shaping young lives.
A devoted husband and father since 2007, he is married to Precious Tate
Jasper, and together they are raising their four children: Zorian Lang, Chordell,
Nevaeh, and Preston Jasper. A Quitman High School graduate, Pastor J
earned an Associate of Science in Computer Networking from Meridian
Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministries from
Southeastern Baptist of Laurel. In May 2024, he received a Doctorate of
Divinity from Initiators Christian University.
Pastor J lives by the motto: “Maintain”—remaining faithful in all things. His
mission is to build a Christ-centered legacy while empowering others to fulfill
their God-given purpose. Through his ministry, leadership, and service, he
continues to impact lives, strengthen faith, and glorify God.
